i like the lights. In fact i have a set on the car as well. Beats the original expensive defective light covers anyday. I dont have to worry about them flying off at speed anymore.

Hey do you know anything about wiring I have a short or a cross short or maybe even a bad ground I've been hunting it down for over a week and have torn my car apart so bad it isnt even funny LOL. If you know anything Im willing to guy lunch if you have some time.

I just wouldn't make the generalization that all headlight covers will at some point fly off as that's just not true.

you're very lucky mahjik. It 's happened twice and both while going at approx 80-90kmh. The first time was pretty scarry as it went flying overhead and nearly smashed into the windshield of the poor driver behind me.

The covers can certainly handle high speeds that is for sure. High speed is not the killer, it is age. Plastic becomes brittle and therefore the structure becomes compromised. I drive (drove) my FD all of the time, I put over 100K on it. So it has been exposed quite a bit to the elements.
So yes IMO all headlight covers will crack and be subceptible to flying off at some point. Not due to high speeds but due to age (exposure).
