Installed H&R Sport Springs this past weekend (56k BEWARE!)

My stock suspension wasnt getting along with my driving style so I decided to do something about it. I bought H&R Sport springs and some Tokico Illuminas to fix my "problem". The car is a little lower than I'd like it to be but it's no big deal since the suspension made a huge difference in handling. With the Tokicos set at the softest setting (#1), the car feels very smooth around town. At the medium setting (#3), the car is a bit stiffer but its still good around town. Using the stiffest setting (#5), the car handles like its on rails. Ive had it like this most of the week and I love it. The car is my daily driver and the stiffest setting isnt bad around town. I havent had any rubbing issues yet. Although I did have some bad rubbing issues with a speedbump...

Installation was pretty easy using regular tools and a set of spring compressors to remove the stock hardware needed for the new struts. I also removed the ABS sensor from the hub to avoid pulling the wires out.

Picture time...

Specs:
'94 PEP
112,xxx miles
Mazda Reman, Silicone vacuum hoses, HKS DP w/header wrap, old school Blitz cat back & old school HKS boost gauge with peak hold.

Close to $500 for springs and struts. Ebay has good prices for Illuminas and Springs.

I've been meaning to remove that sticker for a while now but I've been too lazy Maybe I'll remove it this weekend if I dont forget about it.

That's the plan Painting the center caps, slotted rotors, good brake pads/fluid, and tires are next in the very near future.

Looks very nice! Beautiful white fd.

Have fun getting on the alignment rack you might be ok w/the stock lip, but imagine a r1/99spec

Looks good. I just bought me a set of H&R's. I saw beware and H&R in the same sentence and thought you had problems with them...until I read the whole line...lol
Nice color too.

Will you be painting them the same silver as the wheels? I think black center caps on your car will fit it really good. imo it defines the stock 5 spokes better. I reccommend this along with a nice front lip and maybe red or black efini badges=hotness.

Nice clean ride! I have a "Chaste White" FD too, and they look just that - chaste! I also have H&R Sport Springs, but with Bilstein HDs.

if you go with this setup instead of coilovers, what is the widest rim width you can go without any issues?

The alignment shop I go to doesnt have alignment racks you drive up. Theyre built into the ground and they have what looks like a moat as their work area. The wheels of the car are at shoulder height to them. They dont care if the car is lowered like most alignment shops around. Very good shop.
