Ok here’s the deal. I read threw a couple of thread on parts needed for a custom dual oil cooler setup and most of the guys use different fittings. I have a picture attached of what Banzai recommends and also from what a forum member used. Some of fitting degrees are different. What one should I go with? What degree fittings work better especially when it comes to the hose routing, Oil cooler and around the rebar. Please guys be kind enough to let me know where each fitting goes when it comes to installing them. I want to have a mental picture. I do have an idea but want to make sure. I could probably figure it out when I buy the fittings and have them in my hands but would be very helpful especially for reference. Thank you guys in advanced
A 90 coming from the oil filter down to the thermostat. It will vary what fittings you will use on the thermostat since it can be mounted just about anywhere. Then a 120 to go into the first cooler, a 90 coming out of the first cooler and a 90 going into the second cooler. Then another 90 coming out of the second cooler. You're not going to go around the rebar, you're going to go through it.
the fitting on the front cover will vary also based on whether or not you have ac. Use your judgement.
making your own oil cooler set up is pretty easy. You just have to solve a mounting solution which isn't that hard either but is the hardest part of the whole thing. Make sure you get quality, name brand fittings and line. Also be sure you assemble them correctly. The actual correct method is outlined by the FAA. If its mandated by them to use a specific method to assemble AN lines for aircraft then it's the correct way. Change my mind
OP I'm about to be selling nearly everything you need- the only things you'd need to buy would be a matching mishimoto oil cooler and brackets for the right side. I had a towing accident and the right cooler was damaged so I tossed it, I ended up parting the car and no longer need the parts.
Shoot me a PM with your cell # and I'll send pics of what I have.
I ran my own custom oil coolers as well. My recommendation is to use the improved racing thermostat instead of the Mocal. I couldn’t get my oil hot enough with the mocal unit. I believe It has a feature in it that it never fully closes to prevent engine failure if the thermostat ever gets stuck. The problem is my temps would never go above 120 when cruising.
I did run a Sanai front bumper with large openings so I’m sure that has something to do with it. Perhaps if you have the 93 bumper you’d be ok. My .02
the mocal unit is a low bypass thermostat. some goes through always but not very much. when they fail, it fails closed. i found out the hard way, i wouldnt suggest using it just for that reason. when mine fell apart, i ended up finding part of it in one of my oil coolers. i have a mishimoto now and it seems to work well. you can also swap out the internal thermostat for different temperature ones if you wanted. it even comes with a nice mount bracket

Ok brother thank for the help. I will be using Fragola nylon braided hoes and fittings.
I though I was clear but let me give it another go. What fittings work better on the oil coolers them selves, 90s or 120s? When it comes to pluming the oil coolers and hoses in order to clear the headlights and anything else that can become a clearance issue.
90° if you can. It comes down to space availiability and how you route them all. Remember the less sharp the angle, the better the flow will be.
In my case I have 1 120° fitting, the rest are 90°.
You should be able to find some pictures from different set ups online.
my setup is dual mocal 19-row (older CWR kit) and the cooler fittings are all 90 deg and are located at the bottom instead of top. I'm planning to upgrade to 25-row, keeping the fittings down but I'm changing the hose ends to banjos for better clearance
