Question Injector set-ups 12V constant...

Want to inquire about injector set-ups...

Going single and seriously evaluating injectors possibilities and yes, I have searched and was not able to extract all of the information I wanted.

I have a Supra TT fuel pump with dedicated 12V all the time. I currently have stock injectors and run 17psi on stock twins with 95% duty and 11.0 AFRs.

I read that 550/1600 is a popular set-up. Is there a tuning reason for keeping the 550 primaries? There is some discussion about fitting the large 1600 fuel rail and the cumbersome stainless flex connect line under the UIM.

What is the disadvantage of going to 850 primaries? Is it a tuning issue in the PFC? Is there a set-up for daily driving that is easiest to tune. Looking to make 425RWHP reliably.

With the 550/1300 and stock FPD and FPR will there be any reliability problems?

Thanks

Most people stick with the 550 primary as the 850 isn't a direct bolt in. I don't think (could be off) that it's a tuning thing.. I run 850/1680 with no issues.

There is no issues running the fuel lines on a single set up. You should have plenty of room under the UIM.

I wouldn't recommend 550/1300, just because I've heard too many stories about the 1300's. I think many people do it to save money by not having to get new rails/lines.

Yeah, 850 is about as big as you can go on the primaries and still have a decent idle. Bigger than that and you're probably pushing your luck.

I think a lot of people go 550/1600 because they can sell the 850's and recoup some cost. Also, you can easily drive around on 550's with a near-stock map while you're tuning in the 1600's.

Sorry to Hijack the thread, but has anyone used RX7store's full setup of 1000 Pri and 1600/1680 Sec? I'll be 1/2BP by the time I'll need these so idle is always going to be wierd...
