Just order new caps from Keith. It's not hard to put them on. Once caps are on (realistically) they are junk by the time you take them off. Get new caps take the strange ones you have off and put Keith's on. A little WD40 helps them slide on easier...

Shipping can be same day if you were willing to pay for it. Overnight is going to be a tad much IMO as well. ground should be no longer than 2 - 3 days to you.

gotcha back, thanks.

for anyone else following this, not only was the cap too long, it was also too thick. turns out the cap was just too thick to fit into the rail, regardless of length or the extra lip. so, new pindle caps it is.
