Injector dilemma...help
Hello everyone,
This is my first post (well, since re-registering anyway) so please excuse me if I somehow fail to follow certain protocols. I've tried using the search function and FAQ section w/o much luck so if any of you have some input or could direct me to the appropriate link(s) I'd be appreciative.
My car has a fairly aggressive street port, re-worked factory twin (T28 clip w/ sequential defeat), Power FC and full exhaust (w/ 3" hi-flow cat). I'm not a dragster and don't intend to turn my FD into some 500hp monster. I plan on setting my absolute max boost at 1 BAR (14.7psi). The car is sitting at my mechanic's...I've just had a Rotary Performance fuel pump put in today and now I'm stuck!
I'm supposed to take my injectors to have them flow-benched and balanced tomorrow but I'm confused about what fuel set-up to go with. I've heard of different ways but from the limited knowledge I have I feel that by keeping the primaries at 550cc and boring out the secondaries to 1200cc should be sufficient for my application. I understand it's popular for many people to move their secondaries to the front then droppiing in larger units in
their secondary but I'm wondering if that would be excessive for me. Do you guys think just upgrading my secondaries is enough?
Also, is it absolutely necessary to install an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator? If so, what brands/products have you people had success with?
I welcome any helpful comments/info. My thanks in advance!
Happy rotoring,
CanyonRunner

FPR is not necessary.......and as for injectors.....whenever going to the larger primaries i have always experienced a somewhat diminished low speed driveability condition.....nothing unbareable.....but definately not as smooth and clean as the stock setup......i personally added two extra 720cc injectors in addition to the 550's and 850's..

You'll get a lot of different answers here. I've run my car with two setups - 850 primary/ 1300 secondary and 550 primary /1300 secondary and I have been much happier with the stock 550s in the primary rail because it's easier to tune idle/low speed/low load. Some people have had better luck with the 850s in the primary rail. Personally I think if you have no plans for big power then 550/1300 or similar is a good choice.

Thanks for all the input guys. I've decided to stick with 550cc in the primary, bore out the secondary to 1300cc and stay put with my factory fuel pressure regulator.
Spoke w/ RRR in Santa Ana yesterday and was told this set up (I've got a comp. fuel pump) should be able to support 400whp. I don't want to pay more for gas if I don't have to.
