injector diffusers seals ,,quick question
hi guys,,
when dismantling the lower intake ive removed the secondary injector diffusers,,, and ive noticed they slide in and out of there holes in the lower manifold very easily (they have a rubber O ring on the diffuser,,, im presuming that this should be a nice tight fit to prevent leaks) ,, the only reason i ask is because theres a 2nd seal that sits ontop of the diffusers and as i didnt have any air leaks maybe this 2nd seal does all the work
any body shed a bit of light on this thanks?

Warming the planet.
In my opinon, The round seal ( mazda calls it an insulator) above the diffuser is compressed by the secondary rail and does sealing. There cheap and should be replaced anytime the rail is removed

what i dont understand though "gad" if the insulator does the sealing then why have the O ring on the diffuser (at present my O rings dont do anything ,, they arent tight in the LIM ,, they are close but not air tight),, cant see why they are there,,,i was hopeing someone was gonna tell me they are supposed to be tight so i knew to go buy some more.
i can see how the insulater seals,,,it seals against the diffuser and the injector bottom.
