You're probably referring to the rubber grommets. They seat on top of the diffusers. Here is how the primary grommet looks like

I bought a pair of those for the primaries and secondaries. The rebuild kit I bought came with two o-rings that are meant for the diffusers, my guess is for the secondaries. All of the diffusers broke when I disassembled the engine so I purchased new ones...the secondaries came with new o-rings already installed. Just want to make sure that I am moving in the right direction and I don't have a massive fuel leak when I test the system.

I am always on the lookout to remove any potential issues that might cause engine failure. If your motor is out and you are replacing with new diffusers you are probably safe from them breaking due to age. I was upgrading my fuel system and didn’t know the age of the diffusers so I removed them. It’s a bit tricky when the engine is together in the car. You don’t want to break one and drop a piece inside.
