Hi guys, can someone help me on this, i really do feel like a dumbass asking this question as i know its gonna eb something stupidly simple

Im running some big ports on my engine and got a power fc on a basemap, the non-load idle only goes to 1000rpm

i want to increase my idle to around 1200rpm as ive found it seems to like idling at that.

at the moment its idling at 900rpm when hot, when i try turning TAS(throttle adjustment screw) nothing happens for a turn then the more i turn it suddenly jumps up in rpm and starts hunting up and down(1000-2000).

I read about the air adjusting screw but havent touched that yet as its not easy to get at, is that a better way to do it?

yes, when i first fitted the power fc i did the bit about the air screw.

at the time i was told to put the TAS so that it wasnt applying pressure to the throttle and let the ecu deal with setting up the idle.

that was fine but i want a higher idle than the power fc can do(only goes to 1000rpm), hence im not sure if i need to randomly turn the TAS up a bit then press ETC to reset, and hope for the best or i need to adjust the AAS to make it idle higher

 

Raise all of your decel fuel cuts. This will enable you to raise the idle with the PFC like you're trying to do.

Your idle will only go to 100 less than the corresponding decel fuel cut for the three settings--- no electrical load, electrical load, and a/c on.
