My CEL had been coming on recently , and then shutting off. alot like what happened when I was naive and told I needed to replace the EGR valve since that's where the malfunction was. wish I had been on the forum this much back then.. So I did the Diagnosis shorting trick, and got code 11 "Intake Air Thermosensor
open or short circuit".

I have an Apexi Power intake installed on my car currently, and downpipe. Stock ECU. I'm guessing a short maybe since check engine light the light comes on occassionally and then shuts off. where is the sensor and what can I do to solve this?

The air intake temp sensor is located on the _underside_ of the intake manifold. See the big arches/ridges that send air down into the engine when you open the hood? It's on the bottom side of that thing. To get at it you need to take the upper intake manifold/throttle body off.
