Im totally lost....

Besides getting screwed over in court on my birthday (today), my FD has given me a problem where im totally lost. Im currently in Nashville on my way to Florida from Ohio. On a completely cold start, the car idles fine. After driving and the water temperature reading about 85-91 Celcius, i go to shift into neutral, coast, hit the brakes, car dies. There are a few other symptoms as well

-When sitting still from a start, car may idle at 200 rpm. If i push brake in, it dies
Mind you, i drives completely normal down the freeway. But I would love to solve this problem hopefully before I hit the road tomorrow so I can finish my drive worry free.

Yeah. But how does that have any relation to the brake-stall problem?

I think because the car is idleling so low when you press the brakes the little current the brakes use makes your car die because the alternator is not supplying enough. its just my opinion
"i don't really know" this was happening to me but it went away on its own so i never found out the problem.

Sounds like your idle control is not working properly. I would just tune the idle without it and see if that helps. The ohm tolerances are on here if you have a voltmeter handy to check and see if it is bad. If it is bad, I have an extra one here that I could send to you once you get to Florida.

Tried adjusting the idle screw? Worked for me with a similar issue a while back (its behind the intake elbow).

Your brakes use vacuum to work.

Thats why if you ever noticed how when the car is off and you coast the car in neutral and hit the brakes, its almost impossible.

Hence why some muscle car guys get a vacuum canister when they run those huge cam because of vacuum.

So its been a week, and i was hoping that whatever was wrong would just go away with sitting in the garage not moving. Well I started the car up tonight, first time I turned the key, it wouldn't turn over, I let it sit a second, then turned key around, finally fired up. Except it left a haze of smoke in the garage and it smelt like gas instantly.

Current Conditions : Extremely low idle
Running very rich
