Ew, I have the same problem, and my started to do that after I wipe all teh lub off the tracks, hehe. It was starting to look REALLY nasty.

I have not gone back and done it, but I had though that relubing them would do the trick. Uh, oh.

HAH! YA know Long, what is it with all of us crackers that makes us want to go out and broil and irradiate ourselves until we glow?
Not to mention looking like the Marlboro Man at an early age....?? Actually everything about the sunroof works fine except when you start the opening sequence. I must have too much time on my hands now that I'm not working thanks to our friend Usama Yo Mama..........

Cool

Try manual adjusting it. What's happening is that it's not shutting or sliding all the way forward. So try manually adjusting it so that is shut all the way and then try it. Just a thought, it hasn't happened to me yet but that's the next logical thing to do if you've already lubed it and all.

see ya,

Well, I can tell you that if it has to be fixed, it's going to cost you.

mine just got replaced to the tune of $3125.00.

Yeah, but the point is I just hate looking so "orange".:p

BrianK, I want to be your friend dood. Anyone that's got $3K to fix his friggin sunroof is seriously in the bucks. I love rich people.
They are different. When I am reincarnated I want to come back as a trustafarian.

Car 53: Where are you? HA HAH HAH HAH! Ok - I never have really tried adjusting it but that makes a lot of sense! 8 years of bumps with those crappy stock shocks (since replaced) and it probably does need a little tweeking and tightening.
So, thanks - I'll bet that's it.....off to my trusty shop manual -armed this time with medium strength Locktite.

Later,

Ron

two points about the sunroof...

1. It was broken in the open position - kinda a security/weather risk, so it was somewhat important that it got fixed.

2. My insurance company paid for it. To make a long story short, someone tried to break in through the sunroof. Luckily, I have a very good insurance company that didn't give me any crap about it, just fixed it.

so uhh... don't break it while you're trying to fix it. not only that, but the new one desn't seem to fit as well, and it doesn't stop at the vent position like the old one. granted, I only saw it for about an hour between the dealership and the body shop, so maybe they weren't done. Man... looking at the calendar, I've driven my car 4 times since August 22nd because of dealing with all this crap.
