How does the race radiator fit with the stock airbox?

There seems to be a lip off of the plastic thing that spreads the stock nose and used to seal to the top of the radiator that blocks it from dropping lower. If it doesn't drop lower the scoop on the stock intercooler ducting won't fit between the radiator and the frame. Do those of you that have installed this radiator have stock noses? I could cut about 1/2 inch off the lip to make it drop in, but I'd rather not. Any ideas?
I installed my race radiator today. I ran into the same problems you did. The radiator was too wide for the top mounts and it also hit that plastic piece behind the nose. I trimmed the upper mounts until the radiator slid between them and trimmed the plastic piece behind the nose. I thought about bending the top mounts but trimming them with a jigsaw seemed like a cleaner solution.

I didnt finish putting the A/C condenser back on since it got dark and my back was killing me. From the looks of it, I think I'll need longer bolts? Any tips to make the a/c stuff install easier?

When I removed my "stock" radiator, I realized it was the copper/brass CSF radiator. I'm guessing it's less than two years old since the previous owner changed some stuff before I bought the car a year ago. I took some pictures comparing the stock CSF radiator to the Race version. I'll post them in a bit.

I have the copper/brass CSF "stock" size radiator. Does your CSF race version cool significantly better ?

TIA,

I'm running a Koyo (as this wasn't an option three years ago) and have been really happy. The install was painless and the quality of the radiator is remarkable (as would be expected of Koyo). The price was steep though at $350, but I when it comes to cars like ours... you really do have to pay to play.
