I'm Back!

Well, I see lots of screen names on here that I no longer recognize! After a messy divorce and the sale of my previous 3rd gen, I have been absent from the RX7 club for about 4 years..... BUT! I am about to button up a few loose ends on my newly purchased Silverstone 93 RX7. My plan is to keep the car subtle and tasteful.....That being said, I do have a favor to ask all the 3rd gen folks. I have a set of japan spec rear seats that I purchased last year and am in need of some seat belts. Anyone that has done the entire conversion, please pm me with info or pictures of where you got the seatbelts and preferably the rear seat side panels so I can complete this addition. I have a 5 year old and 8 year old that LOVE the car and I need to get the whole set finished. Any help with where I might locate the final pieces or if anyone has them, please pm me! Thanks guys!

Welcome back Art. Don't have the rear seat, but I've seen them show up on ebay occasionally....but probably from overseas.
Congrats. Nice car...what's the current mod list? I'm only about 3 hours away and it seems like I make it down to the KC area once a year or so. Maybe I'll see it in person someday.

Well Jim, Thanks for the reply. The mod list is mild, a few minor upgrades. The plan is to keep it fairly docile and useful! I made my old FD into a monster and it was almost intolerable to drive in any weather other than 72 degrees and sunny! I'll start posting up pics and things but don't plan on anything crazy!

Thanks Gordon! I am too old to fight the 105 degree summer heat, so I kept the AC, I'm too old to take the bone jarring ride of the old suspension on hard aluminum mounts, solid bushing this and aluminum/polyurethane engine mounts and tranny braces that transfer every vibration, pebble and pea to my back! She will be loud, obnoxious and fast! Subtle is a relative term, just like "successful"! Thanks Kyle! Thought you might be able to help me! BTw, Still have your car Kyle? Ever get the engine back together?

So very true! I've still worked on a few cars for other people but after rebuilding my Esprit and modding that platform, I really had the opportunity to see how absolutely amazing the FD platform truly is! The Esprit is an exotic car built by hand! The FD is truly a beautiful and highly technically advanced vehicle even by todays standards! I love my Esprit, don't get me wrong, but I was really awakened to the strengths of the FD! I will make a much more subtle car out of this one, but she will do track duty as well as regular transport! I also added the Jspec rear seats for my kiddo's so we can all enjoy her!
Here she is back on the ground. Started up after the first crank and did 8 miles today! Many thanks to Cam Worth, as always for lots of help and direction!

Thanks girl, for the welcome back! I have always longed for a CYM! My favorite color by far! Hopefully can get out to an event this spring with one of my kids!

Yep, and those pics were at the track so it's not like he didn't drive it.

Hey what's up Art?! It's Chris Richards, glad to see you back in the game and I'm sorry to hear the troubles that led to you being out. I don't know if you remember me back in the day back when we had SPRX-7 and did the drives up to the dam, but I drove the red S5 turbo 2 with the 20g in it. Anyways, the FD is looking really nice and silver on black is my dream FD :-) Is the KC club still around? I ask cause we have a new club for the S.W. Missouri area (www.417rotary.com) that started this year and we are planning events for next year. It would be nice to get caught up with everyone again since it's been a little while.
