If it was you only option

Hey

If your options for buying an FD were limited to 2 Rx7's

1. A silver 93 with a less than perfect interior, ripped seats, cracked dash pieces, broken headlight covers and an engine that runs (stock) but doesn't look like it's been cared. Not to mention poor paint and missing that front lip

or

2. A Black FD year(?) good looking interior, body is all there, paint is not at it's best and it's had an engine fire (probably light mods).

Which one would you go for and why ?

If you forced me to keep one of those in my yard, I'd go for the running one so I wouldn't have to push it around

If thats all you really know about them both then you might as well go with the one in the best condition, #1. How bad was the fire?

I will also say that you should pass on both. Don't settle w/a car unless you can steal the thing. I bought mine in great shape and it still needed $700 or so in parts to satisfy me.

Well...that IS a tough one....but when all is said and done I'd take the one with the better interior, personally. Why? Because it is a time consuming and expensive BITCH to bring these car's interiors up to "decent" shape. I passed on a lot (seven, to be exact) of FDs before I bought mine due in part to the condition the interior was in.

The more money you spend on the car its self you shouln't have to spend in repairs. Just keep on looking!

Not to sound to stupid and silly but to quote "The Fast and The Furious": The first one could, "decimate all after you put about $15,000 in it, overnight parts from Japan!" Or something like that.

Seriously wait for a third!

that all depends on how much they're asking for them. as of right now i'd say neither... but i don't know the price.

Whichever one has better compression?

I'd say you have some pretty sh*tty choices, though.

I don't like either one.

u live in the west indies? if i remember my geography its a small place. how about buying both of them and having the only fds there lol. kidding aside.. its hard to know what to look for if u haven't owned one before... so get more info, like finding out the compression as a few ppl have mentioned, looking for leaks, find out about the fire etc. gl, its a great car just don't rush into getting yourself in too deep with a junked one
