FilterMag work or waste of $$$

Now that I have your complete ATTENTION!!!!

Always looking for more longevity in the rotary. Any testimonials or better try one and cut the filter open after to see some debris?

OK, OK? No one has tried it? Or they just won't admit to it?

looks as useful as those fuel injector cleaners that you pour into your gastank. if you got chunks of metal circulating through your oil circuit, then it won't matter if the metal gets magnetized to the filter (since those chunks of metal are probably from something fuxored inside your engine)

Rotaries don't have valve trains or steel surfaces on the rotor housing so there isn't a lot of metallic debris formed, even the oil pump is rotary! In pissing engines everything wears everywhere so much more metal is produced especially in the domestics with their loose tolerences. We change oil because of heat destruction not metal contaminants. IMHO.

I agree with Loony Tunes

http://www.synlube.com/ offers the same thing and you're supposed to use the filter w/magnet before you use their lifetime oil. It says (the oil) is not suitible for rotary's though.

What am I missing here?

If anyone is really that worried about metal particles just go to AutoZone and buy a magnetic oil pan bolt for, like, two bucks.

I get a little bit of sludge on the bolt everytime I change my oil. No big deal, but I know it's not circulating into the engine, at least.
