Idle issue

My rx7 is having an idle issue. At start up it idles at 850rpms and when the car is warmed up the idle jumps to 1500rpms. Is it a vaccum issue or is it something else?

Thanks
Kong

Def sounds like a vacuum leak. Check for loose or unhooked lines.

What did you do/install last that might have disrupted this?

hmmm did you change anything near the TB? Cuz it sounds like when its cold, all the metals are closing tight together without any problem, but once the car warms up, the metal expands and leaving a vacuum leak? Like 1qwik7 said, what have you done to the car recently?

The only thing i've done so far is add a downpipe recently. I dont think its a vaccum leak cause i just check that. When the car is warm i have a good vaccum reading. The turbos boost fine so i dont think its a vaccum leak.

Well since you said you replaced ONLY the downpipe, how about the o2 sensor?

Did you reuse it? replace it?

What other parts did you uninstall during this process?

Pretty much you have to back track your work man. Its hard for us to tell you because 99% of the time, you already have the answer, you just have to think.

I reused the o2 sensor. I also took off the lines that go to the intake and put them back. Does anyone have a picture of a stock engine bay that shows the throttle body area.
