Identify Part + Diagnostic Q
So i got my car back last night and discovered today that some of the work wasn't done. Here's some pics, i have no idea what this is, or why they'd be looking there. The car was in for the problem listed below the pics. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! (This is on the passenger side.)
When i get to the secondary boost, there is a loud whining noise, and an instant loss of power. Also boosting at 12psi. Techs say; Rear oil seals and turbo seals are leaking. They recommended, steel braided turbo oil lines."
Any suggestions?

They were supposed to look at the boosting problem with my car; When i get to the secondary boost, there is a loud whining noise, and an instant loss of power" They said the car boosted for them at 12 psi and they heard the whining noise. They said they were trying to varify where the noise was coming from and had ripped some stuff apart.

Thanks for the help, i still have a feeling it's bad turbo's. I know they said the rear oil seals and turbo seals are leaking but those turbo's have close to 80k miles on them. Don't know why they weren't replaced by the previous owner when he did the engine.
CRV? What does that stand for? Thanks again!

Bad turbos will whine if they're making contact with the compressor housing, as well as barfing oil. Do you have any smoke in your exhaust?
I'd also find a new shop. "We recommend stainless turbo oil lines" - huh? Not a damn thing wrong with the stockers.

Warming the planet.
That's your stock ecu. If your boosting to 12psi then you probably hitting fuel cut and you need to stop boosting untill you you get the boost down to 10psi before you blow the motor. Fuel cut is built in to the stock ecu to keep the motor from blowing if you over boost and fuel cut explains the loss of power. I have no idea what they are talking about recommending "steel braided turbo oil lines" Both the supply and return oil line are metal lines and there is no reason to replace them with something aftermarket.
I'd recommend finding a shop in your area that has some experience with these cars

Thanks for the help guys!
I tried a shop and as far as i'm concerned they failed, which is really kinda sad cause i've heard so many good things about them. Guess i'll have to try the other one i know of.

I hate to bump this thing, but how do you re-attach the plastic cover peice over the ecu? I know it sounds stupid, but where does the little black box go? You can make it out in the pictures. Thanks!
