Can someone help me in finding replacement diodes for the airbag diagnostic module ?

Using my Fluke 79 DMM set to the "diode" mode, all of the circled diodes are testing "open" in both directions, which supposedly means ALL of these diodes are "open" and need to be replaced.

The only markings I see are a "D" or "O" and a "4"

I think to properly test a diode you need to remove it from the circuit. Not 100% on this, I could be wrong.

Are you removing one leg of the diode from the board or desoldering the entire diode to test it? You can't really test a diode on the board without have a schematic of the board.

To check the diodes on the board, set the DMM to "Ohms" put the neg. lead on the striped (silver) side of the diode, the pos. lead on the other and you should read a "low" resistance (how low depends on what else is in the circuit). Switch the leads and you should see a "high" resistance.

Have you performed all the checks on S-10 in the "Body Electric Manual"?

I performed all test that pertain to "3 blinks".

All fuses are good.

Continuity is good.

Voltages to the diagnostic module are good.

Flowchart says to replace diagnostic module (NLA).

I had my Fluke in the wrong mode for diode testing.

All diodes are testing OK, except (2) green-banded diodes marked either "D4" or "4D".

I also removed (2) 2SJ143 transistors and they tested bad. I did find a source, B&D Enterprises.

Any idea what type of diodes these "green-banded" are ?

Can't help you with diode types but try www.mouser.com and www.digikey.com as they have everything you need.

I lost one of the diodes after removing it.

Anyone have any idea on what type of diode it is ?

Forward Voltage has to be between 10VDC-24VDC.

I assume less than 1/2-watt, and probably 0.25-0.5 of an amp.

Any idea on inverse voltage ?

I've attached the description of the module, and the diode in question is "2J".

Any help or clues in identifying the TYPE of diode would be much appreciated.

Wow, I'm very impressed with you trying to fix that. I bought a used one for $50 when mine went south . If you can't figure it out, that's a good alternative.
