If you really want more than 350RWHP, put a 20B 3 rotor in your car like I did. Besides the additional HP can you say double your TORQUE!!!!!!!!!

this might be a good time to start learning about you car man, even if you aren't gonna do the work yourself, its a good idea to know what going on in your car. as you get more and more mods, you are gonna run into the reliability issues if you don't take care of it and pay attention to whats going on.
i think he was probably talkin about flywheel horsepower, since he did say he didn't know that much performance of whatever, but 400 rwhp is a better goal
good luck

Do you have RE wheels on your car??? It looks like it... If so they are costing you horsepower!!! Take them off, ship them to me and I will ship you my stock ones... That will help alot!!!
J/K but if they are RE wheels I like them alot..

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
well...since 400 RWHP is IMPOSSIBLE on stock engine/turbos, i'll assume he meant 400 flywheel hp, which equates to about 350 RWHP, and that is possible with some good tuning and all the bolt ons mentioned above.

Red RX7:
Your fingers must be tired! Great advice for the newbies BUT
I have to disagree with your advice on the vacuum hose job.
The worm screw clamps are not designed to expand and contract as the engine warms and cools. Result: the hose eventually gets "chewed" and leaks. Also, EVERYONE always overtightens them. Stick with stock on this one.
The zip ties are absolutely worthless except on the ends that have barbs, and there are only a few of these. Use a light coat (less is more when it comes to adhesives) of 3M or Permatex weatherstrip adhesive on the tips, shove the hose on (it also makes the hoses easier to install since it is wet when you put them on) and forget about them. Make sure no adhesive gets into the hose!
Details, details........ OK, time for me to take my medication..

Awesome guys!!! I'll keep u posted when I get all my mods done. Hopefully I'll reach 400hp by the end of winter. Right now my car is stored b/c of snow, might as well start working and enhancing the engine for next year!!!
Any other suggestions will still be helpful

Need for Speed?
Did someone say 400HP? No problem, drive on through...did you want fries with that?
Check out www.staffsauto.com since you're in BC. They have some serious HP rx-7s coming out of that shop, and do a lot of racing. Check out their Molson Indy race pics, where a 3 rotor they worked on won 1st!

With all due respect to Mike's long, informative post, shouldn't this thread be moved to the regular 3rd Gen section? There's not any real tech info in it (other than Mike's post).
