i think my motor poped?????
i seem to be filling the coolant every day. i already burped the cooloing system 3 times. i have new upper and lower hoses, i have the m2 bypass kit. i hear water rushing sound inside the car. But the thing is i'm not over heating. car starts great, cold or hot. i did a pressure test, and it held pressure. i can't find a leak anywhere. But, when i go for a drive, come back, park the car, i see water overflowing from the coolent reservor once in a while. i'm stumped here. what do you guys think it is????? i hoping it not the water seals...

If not, it sounds like you are just overfilling it.
As for the buzzer, well, when I had that situation, it was my coolant seals.
Consult the manual, or a mechanic, and have the coolant sensor checked (since I can't tell ya how to do it). It may just be faulty.

Darkside, I have really good news for you. Your engine is fine, I had the same problem you have. I would fill the coolant and after I park the car, about 1 qt of fluid or less will drain. The problem was a leak in the coolant overflow container. I ordered a new one from Mazda for 120.00. I replaced it myself and it has been fine since (actually I blew my upper rad hose recently but thats another issue).
Order a new container yours probably has cracks on the bottom also. I ***think*** when the car is cold the plastic contaner contracts so it does not leak. When its warm, and the fluid is hot it causes the container to expand and out comes your fluid.
Replace it and you will be happy. Its a bitch to replace but you can do it all from under the car. Reach around and see where the two bolts are.

I have the same problem as you. I replaced the coolant overflow container because my previous one had a crack, but it still didn't solve my problem. It still leak out because it is full, but the neck is always empty after a drive. I have to fill the neck every day and it would leak again from the tank. I hope this solves your problem, but it didn't solve mine. My coolant buzzer would go off a couple of seconds after I start the car even when the neck is full. It got annoying so I just disconnect the sensor and ground it. At first, I thought it was the radiator, but that wasn't the case. I wonder if the water pump has anything to do with it. Anyone know what the water pump do? I'm hoping it's not the engine so that I can do my single turbo conversion.

Dude,
The NECK should always be empty. There is a hole on the top of the overflow container, when you fill it up too much, it does 'over flow'. everytime you add coolant you can get the low coolant light, you have to add more coolant and do it afew times.
Your crazy to disconnect the coolant sensor.

well if your car starts right up on a hot start then you should be fine I have seen cars that just kick and buk to start up and upon tear down very minor leak so my modo is "if your car starts after its warmed up then you should be good to go" but try burp'n some more I like to use the TB coolant hose works magic with the coolant system.

I'm not talking about the neck on the overflow tank, I'm talking about the neck by the engine. I never heard of that suppose to be empty. I'm not stupid enough to go over the F mark on the overflow tank. Every time I fill the neck by the engine, it gets pushed over to the overflow tank, which makes the neck by the engine empty. If that thing is empty, the buzzard goes off. If you said that it suppose to be empty, then the buzzard would go off on every single fd then.

If your FD is blowing white sweet-smelling smoke out the tailpipe when you start it up in the morning, your coolant seals are toast. If not, it's prolly something else.
Generally speaking, of course

I got mine recently was more like 120.00. It is identical to the old one , except the old one is a little yellow from the heat/age.
Let me know how it turns out. Installation is a bitch but not that bad. U can do everything from under the car. You do NOT need to remove the headlight assembly.

Good news...
That PROVES you had a defective coolant tank. In my case I had a defective coolant tank AND upper rad hose.
You said your upper hose is new, this is a Longshot but take your stock airbo off and look at your upper rad hose. I replaced mine and today when I removed the box I found that the new hose is defective and going to crack again. Its possible you are losing coolant under the airbox and cant see it.
