As I sit here polishing my LIM
So I'm sitting here polishing my LIM. My wrist is busier than it is on lonely Friday night. And it hits me. Less surface area is less heat transfer. And with this baby sitting next to the turbo and all, that's gotta count for something. lol at least that's what I tell myself. .004 degree difference FTW

i do cross grain sanding because first time i did my UIM all one way and it left the obvious marks that should have been sanded down.
my LIM took 6-8 hours. The time flies whew.
my UIM took a little less, because its simpler

fdseoul, im getting rid of my efini y pipe, it was polished too, but the GT35r has its housing polished, so i think that balances. Dude your UIM is dead sexy. the two trouble areas for me are by the vacuum lines where the UIM bolts to the LIM. so many twists and turns.
XLR8 i honestly would have coated it to begin with. I hate the murky look of powder coating when it tries to look like polished metal, but it looks great in many situations.
