Unhappy I need help identifying this Connector/wire

Haven't touched the 7 in more than a year and I'm trying to get her running again. My engine is currently out of the car and I'm ready to put it back in but I noticed I have a wire that snapped off back when I removed the engine and I cannot figure out where or what it goes to.

Anyone know what it is? Where it goes? Am I F*&#ed?

Thanks guys

i may be wrong, but i just overhauled my entire engine bay and dont recognize that connector. it looks like its in the area of the oil pan sensor. but that looks like a custom spliced wire. that connector looks like a custom splice type of thing.

Worst case, look at the color pattern of the wire on the harness side. then you could look up an ignition harness diagram. or post the color combo here

Yep. If you have a catastrophic oil leak (like a burst oil feed or oil cooler line) you can drain the oil pan in 5-10 seconds. That sensor will light up the idiot light and sound the buzzer that your oil is low - sure sign to pull over.

Saved my *** in my old FC back in the day when I blew an oil cooler line.

If it snapped off from the oil level sensor (which is common, people forget to disconnect it when pulling the motor and it breaks off) you'll have no problems finding a good used oil level sensor. They're gonna be a dime a dozen.
