I need help
I just took out my engine from my north american 93 fd and swaped it with a jdm engine and wiring harness. That blue plug does not plug into the harness under the dash cause it has an extra pin. I figured i would try starting it anyways, no luck of course. I need help now. Can I cut the blue plug of my north armerican harness and change it out for the one on my jdm harness and leave one of those wires out, if i can do this could some help me sort out which wires go where in the plug??? Hope someone can help me. thankyou.

has anyone had this problem, would the best way be to pull my north american harness and plug it into the engine instead???? Or can I manually wire the jdm harness into the north american plug by matching colors, and then just leaving the one that doesn't match out???

ok, so my dad convinced me to rewire the jdm harness into my north american plug from the old harness matching the colors on the wires. This leaves one wire not conected to anything, but since my wiring diagram is for a north american system it won't show me what it would have been for. My car starts now which is awesome however the check engine light is lit up. I asume its a side effect of the one wire not being conected to wherever it should be conected. anyone have an idea on this?? thanks

I bet it's the fuel thermosensor wire - Brown/yellow wire - Correct ??
I helped FD Brian get his car started on that other thread. What Brian doesn't tell you is I had him test each wire for continuity and record each destination before connecting up the wires. That left one wire - Brown/yellow. Goes to the above.
Brian was lost, but he is now trained. So call up FDBrian here and let's have him help you thru this problem.

ok, update on my car problem. I have solved the location of where that wire went thanks to FD brian. My check engine light has gone out. I am encountering another problem though. My car idles between 1300 and 2000 rpm I have a ver weak battery, not sure what happened to it. However it literally has enough juice to only start the car, the fan has to be off, and the cd deck has to be off for it start, anyways, thats the best charge that battery can hold. I am swaping it out soon but could this low powered battery be the cause of my car idling between 1300 and 2000 rpm??? I hope so, as i have checked my vacume lines, the sealing on the throtle body, i can't adjust the screw anymore then it has been already. I really don't want to have take stuff apart again to get at the lim.
