i need help
ok my car overheated the other night so i figured that it was my thermostat since i have a new radiator and i dont have a leak and i just flushed the system. i changed the system and after i filled the system i left the cap off and when i went to start it all the fluid came out of the filler neck like a foutain. i her that i might have fuked up my water seal and now im getting compresion in the coolant system. i hope not cause i need a new motor.

First thing you need to do is bleed out all of the air in the cooling system
What method did you use for bleeding when you did the install, and how hot did the car get when it overheated?

honestly, check to see if you bleeded the system correctly.
You need to like warm up the car after flush and keep adding coolant until you see it fill up to the filler neck.
I never saw it shooting out though. =P

your coolant should push out the filler neck with it running, that is normal. Your cooling system is designed to run under pressure, that is how it increases the boiling point of the fluid inside.
To flush the system properly run the car with the rad cap off to allow the system to push the air bubbles out. Coolant will over flow so be ready to keep topping up the filler neck as air pushes out. Once bubbles are no longer pushing out shut the car off and put the cap back on, clean up the mess. Make sure the car does not overheat while bleading the system.
If your temp gauge went all the way hot chances are you cooked a coolant seal in the motor, however bleed the system properly and give it a shot. If you start consuming coolant (white smoke and low coolant levels with no leaks) chances are the motor is done.

after you get done cleaning up all the spilled coolant, perform a pressure test on the engine cooling system so you can rule out a bad sealing o-ring. Also do a compression test to see what you get. ( don't want to scare you, but I don't want you chasing something thats not going to change either.)

a motor dosent nesecarily have to *consume* coolant when a seal goes bad. depending on where it is bad on the motor, (compression, intake or exhaust stroke) will detemine what the symptoms are. if you continue to get champaign type bubles in your coolant, it wont burn any coolant and you wont have white smoke. this would blow past the radiator cap and cause the overflow to fill/overflow.

btw, make sure no dogs are around while you have coolant on the ground. they love the sweet taste of coolant and it is NOT good for them. i actualy like the taste too... but it gets me sick.
