I need a cheaper way!

Instead of throwing down $1300 on a pfc. Could I right now just get like a apexi safc and just adjust fuel that way? I am super broke now that I got the car and need a cheaper way. I have already ordered turbo timer and profec b. The profec will be set at 10. So....

Well, why don't you stop modding it if you're broke? Why do you need the PFC? If you restrict boost to 10 psi (without spiking), you can run nearly any bolt-on with the stock ecu anyway.

If you "really" want to upgrade your ECU, just look for a used M2 or Pettit ECU in the "For Sale" section.

BTW 1300 it's kindda high for PFC. I think you could get it some where 1000-1100.

This is NOT the car to go cheap on or cut corners.

The S-AFC doesn't seem to work well on the FD. I think it modifies the MAP signal to adjust fuel, which can make you hit the fuel cut lower if you need to add fuel.

What else do you have that requires a new ECU? A lot of people seem to be able to run several mods with the stock ECU before they run lean.

You need tuning with an ECU upgrade to really maximize your power and safety. Tuning is the cheapest way to get more power if you have a programmable ECU. It usually costs $500 or so for some dyno tuning with a wideband.

My advice is to hold off unless you have a bunch of flow mods and really need an ECU. If you really need something, get a used reprogrammed stock ECU (M2, Pettit, etc.) from someone.

So I could just hold out? It seems like a i still running pretty rich, I get a puff of black smoke at WOT when secondary comes on. I wanted to do it this way to hold me off when I can actually take the car somewhere and get it tuned specifically for my car. Not tell them my mods and tell them to tune it that way, from what I heard that doesn't sound like it works to well. Alright thanks!

I have to agree with Hahjik for the first time and Max on this one. If you really need a new ecu setup I would just get a remapped pettit or M2 ecu. Much cheaper if you can pick up a used one from here.
