I don't remember who posted up Kan's site but thanks. Its awesome he is now taking care of payment and all that. Does he still rely on the people where he's tuning to transport/house him?

I never asked. I just assumed he would stay at my house.

i got ya, im all too famaliar with dynapack. My 356@11psi was on the dynapack that i operated for about 3 years. They are very cool dynos when you really get into the features, that and because its hubless you can actually listen to the engine rather than try to pick out the engine from the spinning rollers.

Hi Yanni,

I know Matt and he is a standup guy. His FD was built at Gotham and is legit. It seems like the only time you post anymore is to **** in people's cheerios......how are you enjoying that C5 ?

Matt,
The porting on your engine is the same as what I used (SP) for drag racing, I build it the same as what I would do on my drag car so I know it is good for 700rwhp. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Thanks Rich. It seemed he was a little butt hurt about something. Maybe its because he owns a shitty C5 now.

Steve

I remember when you did the porting. You were scared about the primary ports being too big. Looks like your porting did the job.

Thanks,
Matt

Ya....I didn't know how the driveability will hold with such a big port so I was on the cautious side for letting you know up front.

You were definately the first race port I did on a street car.

Whats the most HP have you gotten out of a T78 Single turbo? @ what PSI?
And the most HP you have squeezed out of a 13B on PUMP(93octane)gas @ what PSI?

LUPE.

You guys need to let me know when you want Steve Kan back to St.Louis. I was thinking around June. Since the number of cars keeps growing, I need to start planning ahead.

If that is a true number that might be one of the funniest quotes I have ever heard on this forum....

Running shitbox hurley apex seals (made out of plywood and playdoh) will aid in ripping through the motors in a hurry. I think I popped like 5 or 6 motors with those pieces of garbage installed.....

Hey Rich,

My intentions were absolutely NOT to hurt his feelings or make him seem silly. I know certain trap speeds in a FD and the rwhp they yield. I trapped 122 making 379rwhp. Now how did he trap 123 @ 17psi meaning he is making about 390rwhp and then say he made 562rwhp @ 22 psi? That means the difference of 5 psi between 22psi and 17psi is 172 rwhp. The hp numbers are wrong or he is a terrible terrible driver to get that low of a trap speed with 17psi where he should be making ~475rwhp to be in line with the 562@ 22psi. Get my drift? You can't trap 123 with 475rwhp and you can't gain 172rwhp with an increase of 5psi. That is nearly 35rwhp for each psi raised.

The C5 well, I'm surprised at how much enjoyment I've had out of it already. RX-7s are very different. I miss the boost of the RX-7 and especially shifting at high rpms that's what I miss most. The vette has a larger comfortable interior, a lot more features inside/digital gauges anything you want to know about the car, lots of trunk space, its very sexy and people respect it everywhere you go. You do see a lot of them on the road, but I get a lot more stares and people interested in it than with the RX-7 (I'm not sure anyone knew what the RX-7 was)

Hey Yanni,
the 122mph trap speed was done with his old setup (T62-1) and dynoed around 390rwhp at 12psi. He has since upgraded to a GT42 turbo and made 562rwhp@22psi. If I remembered correctly, he also made 499rwhp@17psi on the new setup.
