I have never heard the beep is there a way I can test it. I have hit the the fuel cut, but no beeps. Only beep I have heard is coolant level warning.

Anybody know where is the 'beeper' located? I'm sure you could figure out a way to run some more power threw it to make it a little louder. I always thought they should make shift lights that beep, in drag racing you can see the shift light cause your always looking straight ahead but on a road corse i would like it to beep.

MAZDA put the rev warning BUZZER (Beep) on ALL the rotararies - (Not positive about orig cosmo & R-100) my brothers 72 rx-2 had one. The earlier Buzzers were much Louder than the one in my FD - I can hardly hear it when the CD is blasting.

I was getting scared there for a while. I'm thinking "mine beeps when my tach says 7500 rpm, not 8k. is my tach really 500 rpm off?" Thanks for clearing that one up.

The only time i ever hear i is at the track. i usually shift at about 8,000, i get the best times that way. If i dont hear the beep im not pushing the car to the max. i dont know about shifting at 7,500 for best time. Im not really shure but u might get a better mile a hour. I think i get better times when i rev it right 2 limit then shift.

Damn I can't hear mine either, I figured the PFC made it go bye bye or something. I would love to hear that "shift soon stupid" noise.

I wonder if this is the same beep the alarm system chimes when activated.

That particular beep needs to be louder too.
