I have search the forum, but...
I still have some questions....
It seemes from the topics i have read that the engine in the rx-7 is something you HAVE to change sooner or later.. How hard is it to get a "new" engine to the rx-7, and how much is it? I live in Sweden so I think I have to ship the engie when its time for a new one
If I get a used rx-7 that is in good shape, what can I do to make it last longer? Reability mods etc?
From the post i have read it seemes that owning a rx-7 is like sitting on a "time bomb", you never now if the cars is going to work one day to another
But i STILL love the car and thinking of getting one.
And how about this APEX seals? How much will a shop charge to change the apex seals? ANd can you change them to stronger ones?
Best Regards..

Well, first off, take a read through these links:

http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/reliability.html
Next, the Apex seals.. You just can't change them out. That's basically an engine rebuild. If you get/need an engine rebuild, you can go with larger seals like 3mm or just stronger 2mm seals.
People debate whether 3mm seals are worth it or not, so you can easily find those debate topics here on the forum (personally, I would go for stronger 2mm).
As far as a engine replacement and where? Well, I don't know what kind of resources as far as garages that deal with rotary engines you have in your area. That should be something you REALLY should research before thinking of purchasing an FD.
