I Hate My FD
I saw a thread for "I Love My FD" so I had to mention my thoughts...when my car was bone stock with just an intake and exhaust system I loved it...I beat the hell out of the car everyday till 96000 miles...car ran strong and never had a problem...was never rebuilt during that whole time...then one day I decided to street port, power fc, dual oil coolers, injectors, this and that and everything else...ever since that day the car has never been the same and the motor has broken 3 times in a 1 year period....was built with non sequtnl twins, drove for 1500 miles...when boostning and would always overboost, pop...fixed it again, still overboost and pop....did it again, went single turbo to solve overboost issue, 50mm wastegate, 10lbs...1500 miles late pop...fuel pop goes out right when I decide to test out boost...what the ****...will this thing ever run normal...lol...i've pulled this motor out 4 times already, i know this thing like the back of my hand already....lol...Just thought I'd mention that.

I think when trying to do everything at once that is when mistakes happen. Also, instead of going single to cure your overboost, I think you should have tried to control that first with setting up a proper EBC, installing a highflow and then adding or subtracting from there.
Also, testing out all systems for 5,000kms or so before going back on it isn't a bad idea. I think the further away from stock the more people have problems. Everyone I know who is stock of close to stock has lasted a LONG TIME (except stock pre-cats of course).
I beleive in the rotary just beleive that it takes a very attentioned person to own this car and it takes alot of hours to do things right something not everyone has (and that is ok).
I love all FD's.

what would you guys say is the proper break in procedure? I drove everytime till 1500 miles before trying to boost the motor, and I changed the oil every 500 miles...the last time the motor broke it was just bad luck with the fuel pump going bad...I dont beleive I have a bad tune, I see mostly between 11.0s and 11.5s on my wide band.

AFR is not the only determining factor on our cars.
The rotary enthusiast must know:
AFR
Knock
EGT
That is just my opinion though. Not saying we should have pitcrews and our cars should be maintained like an ALMS car but the more you modify the more you need to monitor.
Also what kind of a wideband do you have. If it is imprecise even if you see those AFR's it isn't gonna tell you chit.

Looks like this is turning into a tunning thread, I dont think theres anything wrng with the maps, I'm just saying i have nothing but bad luck lately, if its not one thing its another..the twins had over 100k miles on them, it was about time they actually started to cause problems...I couldnt hold boost, would hit 10lbs and start spiking to 15....thats how it blew the first time...I did single which solved my overboost issue but the bad luck that time like I explained was that my fuel pump totaly stopped working on me, lost all fuel pressure while boosting...so im only saying that something is always breaking on the car, lol...im at work right now so I dont have all the info ur looking for but Im using the T04R single turbo kit...always use BP 93 fuel...and I have the greddy profec spec 2

Suck to have so many problems. Unfortunately with how old these cars are becomming, I would never try and put a single kit on a fuel pump or OEM parts that are detrimental to the survival of the engine. I would go with all new fuel pump, filter, injectors, regulator, ect to make sure.

I was using a 250lb walbro pump, new filter and 850cc primary with 1200cc sec...the pump is about 1 and a half years old, I havent pulled it out yet to see if it was bad wiring or not, all i know is that I get no fuel presure at all, even with 1 broken apex seal I should still be able to start the car, but my fuel pressure gauge is always 0...the wierd part is that I can here the pump prime when I turn the car on, but I get no fuel, there arent any leaks anywhere so there has to be a problem with the pump itself or the small hose inside poped out under pressure...but how rare is that..ill find out when I get a chace to pull it out.

Actually there are alot of people having problems with walbro pumps. Either the voltage going into the pump because of installation errors or the pump just not powerful enough.
Why dont you run a twin pump setup? You wont have to worry about "too much fuel" as a fuel pressure regulator takes care of that.
