I hate idiot drivers

Driving home - doing circa 40 along a normal road. Cars queueing in opposite direction, road clear in my direction. Around a right hand bend some dude pulls out of a turning (he was on my right, turning right to go the same direction as me - remember we drive on the left side in england!) and comes straight into my lane without even looking...i swerved to avoid, had to go up a curb but he still hit me and scraped down the right hand side of my car.

So ive gotta get two wheels refurbed and the side of the car blown over/resprayed.

*****!! Not worth claiming on insurance anyway, damage is only about 400 worth and my premium will go up more than that with a claim.

If it's anything like Ontario his will, good old "no fault" accidents, this means you have a claim, your fault or not, large or small, your insurance is paying for it.

that's just retarded. sounds like a promotion for idiot drivers who get into a number of accidents so both parties split the bill rather than the at fault party being held responsible.

You should have taken a picture of the driver and put his/her ugly mug up on post as well!

Also, its a shame you cant say '*****' on MRC isnt it!!

I honestly think that everyone should have to resit their test every three years. There are just so many ******* on the roads that are not responsible. It would certainly make the roads a lot safer.

I hope your going to chase that **** for the money to fix your car.

Good Luck.

Man that really sucks. Sorry to hear that about your car. People over here cannot drive any better. I really bet most are worse... And yeah, if you have a claim over here that goes against your insurance (like they are uninsured/underinsured) your insurance will go up to. If they pay, they will get their money back out of you plus some. Friggin rip off if you ask me....

Especially ENGLISH units! All this business with slugs, pound-mass, poundals, etc. It's OK, your country makes up for it with fish & chips and Aston Martins

the problem here is that even if you have an accident that is deemed to be their fault, you still have to declare it to your insurance, and if you dont, then your insurance is void.

Any accident regardless of fault makes you a higher risk driver apparently, and makes insuirance more expensive.

My friends car got hit while it was in a parking lot, he wasnt even driving it. He told his insurance, they claimed off the other driver because it was obviously his fault yet still his insurance went up £500 and the repair only cost £600

Insurance is a ******* rip off and it ***** me off so lets not get started on this. Ive paid over the amount that i bought this car for just in insurance, and ive never had an accident apart from this one but i know if i claim my insurnace will go up by so much.

Insurance here is throwing money away, because you end up paying for the repairs yourself anyway when they jack your premium up. So in effect, you pay for nothing, you have an accident, the insurance company "Pays" for it, then they jack your premium up to get their money back.

It's the same way in the states, or at least in PA.

Insurance is bass ackwards, you're required to have it and they use that to their monetary advantage.

Huh? If someone hits me I claim it on THEIR insurance. That's all there is to it.

I never use my insurance. I actually make the officer decide fault of the accident on the spot. If the other driver leaves, they are automatically at fault for a hit and run. And if i am not at fault, then I will not give the other driver my insurance information.
