ya, it doesn't take too long to pull.

me and a friend have pulled one in 30 min and had it torn down in another 30 and that's still looking for the tools while going. 2 people goes fast and we also had a lift.

What takes me so long is my friggin v-mount. I have to take out the IC and the way I mounted it doesn't have very easy/quick access. I used to pull the tranny with it, but now think that it's faster pulling motor seperate.

I cant polish up my tail lights and reinstall them in an hour. I can barely change the spark plugs and oil in 1 hour. I guess I could do it in 20 minutes but I dont want to. Last time I pulled a motor on a nearly stock car dont ask how long it took. Id take a few hours pulling my motor now on purpose thats how I work.

and thanks for asking about the polishing. Its going well. I wish I had any time away from school to do more of it. The parts have turned out fantastic however and Im very happy with all of the new tools I purchased for the job they make it more fun. Now you are going to tell me you can polish a uim in 14 minutes lol and you found better tools for cheaper
I Don't mess with polishing Give me a wrench and I can give you a stripped FD in a day though

suganuma,
it might be quicker to pull the motor without the trans, but i think it's much quicker to drop it back in the car with the trans attached. And it's not much harder to pull it with the tranny.

LOL. Only on a 3rd Gen RX-7 Club would you find people who can pull their engine in an hour

Yeah, but I don't think it would work too well as a drinking game...

We stood around shooting the breeze for a few minutes before I remembered to shut off the timer. It was more like 1 hour 56 minutes.

Hey I got the motor 100% apart in 2 hours, beat that!!! j/k

Here are the pics of rotors and such, you can really tell the carbon buildup on the rear housing/rotor. When I was removing my side seal springs from the rear rotor they were kinda stuck in there with grime and ****. They didn't just slide out like the fronts, probably why I had a sticking side seal.

Interior dismantling rarely needs any tools other than two hands and a flat head screw driver

And that was after 12 hours of driving half way cross country, lol. Well worth the trip though. Not to mention the area you live in is one of th emost beautiful parts of the eastern US that I have seen . Including the RX7 sactuary you are growing there
