PLEASE! help me (car died and won't start)!
PLEASE! help me!
My 7 just died. I was on it 2nd gear and all of a sudden with ok a/fs and everything the car died. I go to crank it and it just runs the starter but no turn over. 1. Do blown seals usially still result in the engine working? I dont have a compression checker. And i am about to go check spark. I have a modded 7. With a street port and fmic and haltech ecu hks ignition amp. ect. no more smog stuff or anything like that.
Could you guys brew up a check list to go through. I would really appreciate it! thanks ahead - Scott

Have you checked if you're getting fuel or spark?
Make sure you'r getting both.
If you have no fuel jump the fuel pump to make sure it is still working. If it is check to see that your EGI fuse isn't blown. That's where I'd start.

I get spark and i have fuel pressure.... I have a haltech that i need to check to see if everything is ok. Please more responces for help.. id apprecite everything. I am going to check that fuse now.
It's probably not a blown seal, unless all of them are gone at thesame time. If your fuel pump is still working, your probably not getting sparks. After checking the fuses. Pull the plugs and put it against the block and crank to see if you have a strong spark (check all the plugs). It maybe your ignitor. I don't think you can tell the state of the sprks with the Haltec (fuel pressure, yes, sparks, no)

If there is no combustion at all then you are not getting fuel if you have a spark. I would check to be sure the wiring for the injectors are ok. check the igniter but if your getting a spark then thats doubtful. my guess is your having some type of ecu/wiring problem and the injectors are not getting the proper signal. Just pull the plugs, crank it, and look for fuel mist from the plug hole.
I think your engine is fine. Its rare to blow one in 2nd gear and even if you did it would at the very least give you a sputter or two.
Good luck

I had the same situation as you. I was doing a pull. I had a short somewhere (mine ended up being the main pulley cut through the OMP wires that had come loose from the block, and boom fried my EGI fuse) If you have spark and you have fuel pressure, but no fuel in the chambers I'd say that could be a culprit.
