COOOOOOOL! Nice car technician... I live it. Although I like red personally

What's even better is that I finally see some other Wisconsinites with FD's!!! Where are you guys located??? I'm here in the Fox Valley... I see that technician, diablone, and howard are also from WI. Whereabouts? We should get together... another buddy of mine up here has a 94. I have a 93. It would be great to get a drive going. You guys free this weekend? We can meet up...

Beautiful car! How much did you snap it up for?

Also, make friends with a local inspection guy/mechanic. It could help you out one day.

Unfortunatly the WI DOT website doesn't mention much about after market parts, but most officers are only concerned with the noise levels.
You didn't search hard enough. Look at the statutes regarding vehicle equipment and responsibilities. They are fairly clear about this, especially wrt. the exhaust system.

http://www.legis.state.wi.us/Statutes/Stat0110.pdf

Specifically 347.39 regarding mufflers:

Read the rest of the section, it's pretty clear about what's legal.

I'm about 2 1/2 - 3 hours north of Appleton, which I'm assuming you're somewhere near. I know there's one or two FDs in Eau Claire as well, since I saw both of them (don't know if the owners visit this board or not).

Beautiful car! How much did you snap it up for?
Thanks!

I think it's suffice to say it was more money than I've ever spent in one go so far in my life.
