I FOUND A RX7 TO buy

ok this is gonna be my first rx7 but not sure if i should buy i need your expert opinions on this guys. ok the car is a 1993 R1 twin turbo 5spd with leather, 33K original miles, now the car does have a salvage title. the guy said it was in 2 accidents. he said it happend in the same place in the driverside rear quarter panel above the tire. he said with his crash was due to a tracktor trailer doing 15 mph. and its minor as i saw in the pics. and hes getting it fixed this week. not sure how bad the first crash was but it would have to do alot to get salvage right?? bvut it has a reconstructed title. im gonna go see the car this weekend but not sure if i should get it let me know guys PEACE.

BTW, How much is he asking? If it's cheap enough it may be a funny hobby. Just don't expect to much resale value.

R1 with leather? That isn't right. Either it's been had the seats swapped in, or it isn't an R1.

integra with an h22a isnt going to make you happy. it will be pretty much strictly straight line car. i was thining about the same thing, but just wasnt worth that hassle. you should just get a GSR and use an Fmax turbo kit. stay away from the shady rx7's as they will be our parts cars in the future. for about the same price you can get a 240 and then do an sr20det(red top). i like my hondas and rx7's though.

R1s doesn't come with leather. plus 10500 and you have to fit it up then I will pass on it. If he get everything fixed and sell it to me for $10,500 then I will buy it.

They come with suede leather if that's what it is...otherwise they never came with regular leather. Personally I wouldn't buy it for that price...10.5k, Maybe if it was modded out the wazooo then I would but not for a 93, stock, salvage title.

You could get a R1 with leather if you asked for it at time of purchase.

So are you saying when buying a 7 you should get a 93 first as an intro level 7 before you get a 94 or 95?

DONT BUY IT!

wait for a decent one.

you can find one with no motor for 5-6k and put a motor in it and a set of the bnr rebuilds and you are ready to go for under the 11.5k.

and you would have a car that isnt a piece of ****.

listen..just be patient...i waited a year to get mine...i saw a lot of junk the whole time too.

An integra with an H22A will be too front heavy and you'll just be plowing through the corners. If you want an Integra that's fun to drive, the Type-R version is probably you best bet. Strong engine with great stock suspension. The downside to Type-R's is that they get stolen too often. Otherwise, wait until you can find a 7 in better shape. I found mine about 2 months ago with only 27k miles on a 94 R2. Only thing was that I had to drive it back to San Jose from Dallas.

True true. Very painful but luckily one of my buddies came along to help me drive it home. It took us a total of 23 hours of driving to get to Southern California. Texas along took us 12 hours to get out of. It's crazy how big that state is. It is very nice to see that car in my garage though. It's still got to be one of the sexiest cars ever made.
