I finally broke 18 MPG city/hwy mix

291 miles / 16.08 gallons = 18.09 mpg
This was a mix of 50/50 city and freeway/rush hour driving. I only did two burnouts the whole tank. That was the hardest part, ha ha! One of them was because some kid kept bugging me in his beat up Honda Accord that had a muffler so big it should have been on a diesel truck. I just wanted to get away from the pathetic noise. Now back to my normal driving which involves a lot more fun, later...

If you read my post without jumping to conclusions you will see I did not by my FD for good gas mileage. I just wanted to see how good of a MPG I could get if I really tried. It was a personal goal type thing.

I just did a whole weekend of HPDE and calculated mileage during the trip... Good mileage is all in the tune. I had a shop recently pull some fuel during vacuum so I get much higher AFRs. Exhaust temps are still low and it doesn't really matter to go lean when you aren't under load. I used to get 14mpg on the highway (before the recent tune).

22.5 MPG on the highway. NO BOOSTING at all and like 16-17 AFRs. This was consistent through 3 tanks of gas.

17 MPG with mixed driving, boosting around but also highway.

7 MPG at the event. Constant Boosting. 11.5 AFRs.

Car is on stock twins at 13psi, street port, supra pump, stock rail/injectors, and 310WHP

Before the recent re-tune, I was averaging 12-14mpg for mixed driving. About a 35% reduction in fuel consumption just because the car doesn't go pig rich when it doesn't need to. This nets to over $1k a year in gas and that means more "go-fast" mods
