I feel like a virgin!
lol I drove my RX for the first time in over 2 years......I got to work and had a huge grin on my face Nobody here really understood, but then only one person has any kind of a fun car (Plymouth Prowler) other than that it is all subaru's and honda's with the occasional lexus. I had my car in the shop getting ready to sell and when I picked it up the mechanic to me for a ride in it.....I was like WHOA WTF!???! lol It is amazing what clean injectors will do, plus having the car run right lol. It felt really nice when he only works on rotories and said my car was really fast for a stocker.
I just don't think most people can't relate to the joy this car can bring. I dunno, I am babbling like a kid......I'm 35 and in a professional job as a supervisor lol Just seems so odd to feel so happy over driving a car. That tight suspension that takes you wherever you point the car and that turbo rush at 4500 rpm......
Thanks to all for your pictures (Goodfella whose on my desktop.........for now ;D ) and inspiration to get it on the streets where it belongs......now to sell it lol :*(

man this car has a spell over us. (LOL) when it runs theirs nothing like it. when it breaks and your emptying out your wallet to get it fixed you just want to get rid of it . but that next drive will get you hooked again.

Same Here When I Started With The T78. Spending Almost My Whole Paycheck Just To Keep It Running. Dont Matter Where I Go On The Weekends Sometimes. (although That Gas Prices Keeps Me Limited On How Far I Go)

Thats the other thing I had forgotten, HOW MANY PEOPLE STARE! lol I am used to driving an Acura RL or a 93 Ford escort lol The only people that stare at the RL are old folks (no offense anyone) and the only people who stare at the Escort are mechanics

my fingers, hands, and arms are all banged up from working on my FD almost daily the past 2 weeks, and my wallet is empty (even though I'm on a budget build!). To me it is 100% worth it. I know when it is running right and making power and all the right noises, I will be in 7 heaven.

I had to learn how to drive it again even! lol Last night on my way home I was going around a long sweeping corner on the freeway and a car switched in my lane forcing me to change lanes quickly. DAMN the thing is SO responsive and goes RIGHT WHERE YOU POINT IT! hahaha It had to look funny to someone behind me, I had one hand on the shifter so reacting then jerking back. The RL you turn the wheel and then a moment later it goes......lol Ah well it is all in the name of fun!

I hope I'll feel the same way like you probly next week PDX.
Getting my clutch & flywheel combo, gearknob, power steering and that damn diff clunking noise fixed.
I've never tried a fully working clutch FD before plus my mechanic said that my gear shift/**** isn't working properly.
Have been saving heaps for this D day. Keeping my fingers crossed

and oh, I've been tru difficult times too. Went discouraged the other day, even planned to sell the FD and lost my hope. But thanks to Rx7club.com members for giving me countless supportive comments.
Now when someone ask me 'hey, is your car still for sale?'
me " nah mate, it's at the workshop getting some done-up" *with a huge grin on my face*

I know, the support is great here. I was ready to sell my car a year ago and saw Goodfella's sig and pics of his car and I decided to wait longer and see if my mind might change. It did, but I still have to sell it for now. I am hoping to sell it to my brother or someone I know so I can get her back someday. I just need to get rid of all my cars. Besides I KNOW if I keep driving it I am going to get some tickets lol. Speed is so hard for me to tell in the car, I mean I was in a 35mph zone thinking I was going the speed limit then looked down and saw 53mph =0 freeway is even worse, and I am not a hotdogger any more, the car just does something to me and I lose all contact with reality lol. Sounds like Christine alright!
