Its usually, well IT IS only used in Racing set ups, i know that. And it brings ur RMP's up to around 10 000 Red line i believe, some one will chime in and set the tale straight...

Someone could come in here, show you pictures and explain what a bport is. However, if you don't know anything about rotaries, none of it will make any sense to you. You have a lot to learn before you should worry about what a bridgeport is.
That said, a bridgeport is an added intake port where a small "bridge" of metal is left for the corner seal to ride on.

At the bottom, it's covered under "Porting".
In essence, porting is limited by the fact that it's a hole in the side housing that can't be closed. The side seals on the rotor rely on the side housing to stay in place, and if you open up a street port enough you'll take away the metal that holds the side seals in. So the rebuilder leaves that metal and carves away to the inside of this area, opening a second port and leaving a bridge of metal for the side seal to ride over. This is called a bridge port.
Do a few searches for porting and you will see plenty of pics.
