Well i would too but because of the new motor i have to do the break in which will take 1000 miles. but i need to know some things. when do most change the oil/oil filter(brand,dyno/syn and weight(i live in houston if that helps)), sparkplugs , tranny fluid, and other stuff i need to service from month to month.

http://www.fd3s.net/maintenance.html For a maintence schedule.

I am going to use 20W 50 Synthetic oil(just broke in motor so used dyno for that), and change 1000-1500 miles. Oil filter every 3k miles. I live in Tampa, FL

It's not gonna be another oil debate thread is it? I've never read anything bad about Mobil 1 Synthetic either. But on the hand, I run conventional.

Just do a search for it. It was according to some engineer. I personally don't see why its a no no, but thats what I read.

Mobil1 is fine for rotary use, as per many, many users and rotary shops.

Interestingly, I had a lengthy discussion about gear and motor oils with an engineer at Royal Purple (I forget his exact title, but he had a lot of experience there - like a lead engineer). He's got an FD street car and an FD track car. He uses Royal Purple 30 weight oil, and when I mentioned I use Mobil1 because I can get 4qt/$22 at Walmart for cost reasons, he agreed that it's an excellent choice.

I know the feeling more than anyone else. Getting my car back this weekend. Playing every videogame with a rx-7

BTW as far as synthetic oil. Mr. RE-Amemiya san uses it in all of his cars so i dont see whats wrong with using it!
