Get an Evo, better handling than an FD and it gets decent mileage, plus you can throw all your **** in the back. You can drive it to work on the weekdays and show people what's up on the track on the weekends.

Well went and see my mechanic today. Japtrix in FL. they specialize in rotary engine. well it's a clutch. $300 for stock clutch + $375 (5 hrs.) labor + tax = $686. At least the ride to the shop and back was very enjoyable.

Unhappy Then sell it! (& buy a G35 coupe & STILLENize it)

A 3rd Gen RX-7 is an EXOTIC car at a bargain price. The way Mazda did that was to cut some corners (like paint, plastic AST, etc.) BUT...if you fix the known reliability issues and enhance its performance WITHIN REASON then you'll have a very hot, quite reliable, and still exotic car that was way ahead of its time.
Of course if you drive the **** out of a stock 3rd gen car you'll end up sorry.- especially if it's a '93 like mine.

I am a car dealer in pittsburgh. I saw a 2001 Audi A4 1.8t blow up the other day. The car had been serviced by audi, and only had 34k miles on it. The car had some kind of electrical melt down, and lit on fire. Craziest **** I have ever seen. I would not buy any kind of audi if you are looking for reliability. Buy A LEXUS..By the way if you need a nice car give me a call I have lots of cars you may have interest in, and I ship all over the country.. www.towerautosales.com

Just for state of mind. My Rx7 has given me little issues but nothing out of the ordinary for a sports car.

On the other hand, my civic is always in my garage getting fixed for this or for that. 255hp in a civic has more reliability issues then my fd ever could. Just something to think about.

p.s. One of my bosses bought a used 360 modena two weeks later the tranny stopped working right, $8,000 later it is running again.
