I know you haven't wrung it out yet, but does it feel like it has more usable torque than the FD? I imagine that would lead to a different driving style.
What's the redline on the Solstice anyway?
When you're over the break-in period and can press it fully, please come back and let us know how it feels compared to the FD. It shouldn't feel too far behind in acceleration. If it's better on mid-range torque it might even feel zippier in some circumstances.
Powering from the apex of a turn is one of the most fun things to do in the FD. I wonder if it is close to the same in the Solstice, or is there a different feel to it?

Yes the thing about the Solstice GXP is that it has about the same BHP as the stock FD (260 hp), and 260 lb-ft of torque compared to the 218 I believe of a stock FD. So yeah there is some nicer torque in the lower rpm range but then the Solstice is heavier and there is nothing that stays glued to the road like the FD when it comes to the twistys. Also I've got my FD lightly modded and my butt dyno tells me I've probably got it at arond 275 HP as compared to the 260 hp of the Solstice. But I'm prepared to put the Solstice thru some paces as soon as I get past the break in period. I'll keep you posted.

If I get an E46 M3, its going to be a white or gunmetal with a 6 speed SMG transmission. Convertibles are for girls.
