I can see Flames in the rearview! HELP

Ok, so im driving my car, and all of the sudden i see this cloud of smoke behind me. Then i start feeling alot of hesitation like the engine is flooded and the engine is acting like its missing... So i stop, and try to restart it to see if i can get it to run regularly... It starts back up, and continues to do the same thing... So im tring to limp home, and im sitting and an intersection and im letting out the clutch, and all the sudden i see a huge flame in the rearview come up from the exhast.... If i give it anymore than 1/4 throttle than i get huge flame backfires up to 2 feet long. I think i may have scorched some suvs on the way home...

Has anyone had this problem before? Anyone have a clue what could be wrong before i take it to the shop?

I never had it running bad but I used to shoot big flames that I could see and they would light up the whole road. Kinda sounds like a blown motor.

see if this link works, yes bad quality, vid is GsrSolflames2

check the map, and all vac lines,,, if thats good, motor might not be. What you described is how mine went. I was doing 165 in the top of 4th and when i let off, it was all rough and not very responsive when i applied throttle. Took a while to get it to fire back up, and when it did it was rough and shot numerous flames. - just my experience, hope yours isnt the same.
