I highly doubt this will make any more power but since I have a small misfire at idle (and my OEM grounds look like ***) I will try this out. How many feet of wire did you guys use to complete this?

If you are going to make your own cables, solder the rings on the ends then put some heat shrink on there to make it look nice, don't just crimp them.

Final follow-up to posts #42 and #47... the upgraded engine-to-firewall ground strap, Mazda P/N FD02-67-E70. Fits very well.

Certainly true, if the connection depends on the solder for mechanical strength. If solder is used in an auto, it should be in addition to a mechanical connection, like a "lineman's splice," or an initially crimped connection.

I made my own "hyperground kit" and I could feel that the engine runs smoother throughout the rpm band...

cleaned the grounds per mazda service bulletin, thanks wstrohm. seems like it was the right fix for my 2500k stumble issue but its been only 2 days, maybe too soon to tell. car seems so smooth though. funny thing is i didn't have the problem before rebuild and in the process of redoing the wiring i guess the ground connections got a bit too soiled on the reinstall. i didn't change the uim-hook to body connector though.

They give out a ground "wire", not a kit. It does help, but it's not a kit like the Hyper Grounding system or Circle Earth system.

I added a bunch of grounds to the car. Similar but not exactly like Damian did. I did not notice any difference but I wasn't expecting anything huge either. It is possible that their is a marginal difference that my butt dyno doesn't feel, and I am pretty confident with the added 8 gauge wire I can eliminate any future ground issues.

I spent $25, and took me around 30 minutes to do. Not bad piece of mind.

Is the the 3k miss still gone after doing the grounding work or have you notice it show up slightly here and there?

I would also like to add that even though factory grounds are clean and working properly, some manufactures don't design enough ground from the start. Ad to that the stresses on the ground system from modifying (adding load). There are many different vehicles that are known for bad ground design. Lotus elise, etc.

See my reply to your PM; the fix was 99% successful. Have only seen it once or twice since then. Cannot make it happen even if seriously tried, on most days. Possibly additional ground wiring could improve it to 100%, but don't know where to put it.
