I here the fd's stock rims are ONE of the strongest and lightest rims made for any car.....i have an extra set lying around..are they worth anything? Who manufactured the wheel itself for the rx7?

I believe they were built by Enkei. The first iteration were definately some of the lightest around. Strong? No, not hardly. They are prone to cracking. In the second interation, they improved on the cracking problem, but this addeda slight bit of weight. But all in all, they're still a hell of a lot better than many aftermarket wheels...

There are tons of people looking for an extra set of wheels to use for their race tires. Check the For Sale section. You can probably get a good couple hundred bucks out of em.

I just sold my set a while back on ebay for $380 + shipping. They were in mint condition. Was kind of hesitant to let them go, but I wanted some extra cash to put into the FD and they were just sitting around. You should be able to get at least $300 if they are in good shape.

FD wheels aren't strong at all. The lips bend very easy.

Of course no one will pay 500+ for a wheel, let alone new. That was just for reference.
