How would I go about installing these side markers?

Should I get it professionally done? Does anyone know the exact measurements to where they are placed/located on the fender?

Not me, but a professional. I have the '99 front end so I need these side markers so people can see me signal from the side.

Unless you have the proper tools AND done this type of work before, I would rather have a pro do the install. Why chance it. It's gonna look great!!!

It is a pain in the ***. You have to pull the innner plastic liners back, mark and drill a starter hole, then use a progressive hole cutter to make the pieces fit through the fender. So dont slip or make the hole to big or You will have a mess.

If a professional is going to do it, he/she should already know what to do....

If the "professional" is asking you how to do it, take it somewhere else.

Yeah I have the same sidemarkers and I've already asked some bodyshops around, and they were scared of cutting the fender.

They didn't want to ruin the fender and was scared it was gonna rust.

I had those installed on my prior car. It cost $80 for the entire install and wiring. I think they lowballed my original estimate and had to stick with it

Mine never rusted but they used some silicon sealer on the bare metal to keep that from happening. I am sure there are other things they can do, maybe clear coat, to prevent rust as well.

Depends how "handy" you are...

I made a cardboard template oval "hole" that I could fit them into and have them "snap" into place.
The holes were oval with square ends for the plastic tabs to grip.

I then put high quality 3M masking tape over the center of the mounting location on the outside of the fender and used a fine tip black magic marker to trace the outline onto the tape. You need to burnish the tape a little with a rag to make sure it is completely stuck to the paint.

Dremel Moto Tool time! Using a reinforced cutting wheel I cut out the "hole" on the INTERIOR of the tracing lines. (that way I could always file the burrs off and have a little fudge factor to make the hole just right.) If you make it too large you are screwed, glued and tatooed to the tune of about $150.00 for a new OEM fender from Malloy - plus paint!. Must be the cheapest component on the entire car...

A couple of coats of rust resitant primer painted on to the cut portion of the metal on the inside of the fender and newly cut raw edge of the hole and there 'ya go!

Snap 'em in place, extend the wiring along the inside of the fender with some metal foil tape to hold it in place and you're all set!

Nuttin' to it. Don't try this at home boys and girls.

hey pete! nice to meet you. how are things in the UK? thanks for stepping up to the side marker challenge... much respect. well lets see, ill throw out my ideas for a good method of measuring and i suggest everyone else in this post do the same and we'll come up with a good/simple way for you to measure. My idea has 2 parts. 1: if possible, trace the oval opening in the fender which the light sits in, and scan it if you have a scanner. 2: take a piece of string and measure the distance to the center of the opening from the line where the hood and the fender meet. then measure the distance from the door line (or some other point) to the center of the light. then we have 2 points of reference and that should do it. check out the pictures that i attached. throw out more ideas anyone!!!! other idea is to measure from the tip of the fender where it meets the door and winshield support.
sorry they look like a 2 year old drew them, im not to crafty with ms paint and a mouse

Measure X (fender lip to side marker) and Y (fender vent to side market). I think It'd be easier if you stop at the side of the side markers and not in the middle.

Sorry for the crap image.

They don't have to be exact, just as long as they match on either side. Why don't you PM "unixpilot", he has them installed:
