this is just a feeler.
I know its possible cause haltechs do not control omp. I know fc use the 87-88 t2 mechanical omp. How does eveyone else get around that?
I havent had the will to check it but my omp is either unplugged or went bad, I found it easier to just use premix and deal with the limp home mode(doesnt rev while on boost over 4psi above 2k rpms)
Side tracking a bit....if its a bad omp, what are my options???short of getttin a new or used unit of course.

sorry i am trying to learn as much as i can abou these cars..

 

oil metering system.

Stock RX-7's inject dirty engine oil into the rotor housings to lubricate the apex seals.

do a search on "premix" in the single turbo forum, a guy named ReTed has a lot of good info on premixing (2-stroke oil into every tank of gas.)

 

I have not poped opened the hood yet...I've been quite sick! I dont know if mine is bad or just unpluged... I was trying to stay away from buying anymore parts i might or might not need. In the longrun premixing might add up to more than a used omp but that would take a long time im more concerned with a quick fix

I prefer to jog instead of all out running, especially for my early morning runs without the oil metering pump.

 

The haltec e11 v2 does run the OMP
