how can one remove a rotor gear from a standard FD3s Rotor

because i have 2 great shape rotors ..... if you dont consider the fact that 1/5 of their teeth are somewhat shaved , and i have 2 other rotors with bad apex seals slots with great dentures ...
both stat gears are finished as well
i dont want to buy rotors unless i have to

I would not R and R the gear because of the chance the roll pins may not go back as tightly as before .There is a chance for them to let the gear drift out as it is .Do not try to save a little now and it cost way more down the road .

Welded ? May be good but what if you disrupt the rotating balance .Try to find some good used ones for sale .I could try to see how to pull the hard pins out , make a tool but I think you are asking for trouble .

i was thinking of spotting 2 pis opposite of each other after i insert the replacement gear ,

yes all done ,
send it to http://www.rotaryengine.com/ , call them , ask For Adam , tel him David from Montreal told you about the "rotor gear thing "

but there is a chance that there is some damage to the rotor that can only be seen once the gear is off
