Where to find rear bumper burn guards

So my car is spitting large amounts of flames these days. I'm thinking a burn guard is in line to place above my exhaust tips. Well, I've looked around a little, and I've searched on the forum. So far I've found a Rotary Extreme CF one ($135 shipped) and another CF one from RHD Japan which was about $200. Cooked bumpers ftl.

Who has installed burn guards (metal or CF) and where did you get them from? I'd get the one from Rotary Extreme but I'm not sure if their site is still up and functional..

Thanks,

Levi

Rotary Extreme is out of business and has been for about 3 years now...I wish Chuck would open up shop again, 3 years later and people are still killing for his parts.

I got mine from JKL Racing Engineering. It was a factory defect(it had a small scratch in the resin) and cost like $85 or something..I donno how much they cost in good condition. I installed it with some double sided tape and it's held up well.

Yeah, Archie said something about JKL as well. I found there site but cannot find any kind of a product catalog and I'm not about to order something I can't well... see to order.

hehe, thanks for the heads up though! I guess I'll try to find some way to contact them and get in touch next week. I'll probably end up using something like JB weld to affix mine when I get it. Don't wanna take the chance that it could randomly fall off in a heavy rain or something like that, ya know?

Send a PM to JKL Racing Engineering on this forum, he'll be able to give you pics and all. The tape is probably a temporary solution. After I get a new bumper cover and get my car painted, I'll probably rivit the thing on so it'll never fall off

I actually made mine from sheet metal at home depot.

I painted it with hi-temp black engine enamel so it blends in with my car nicely.

Let me know if you want a pic.
