How to remove the emblems?

Probably bad taste to bump this thread, but I was searching for how to do this and wanted to give an update on how I did it. I'm pretty sure what I did was less complicated than what was proposed above.
I bought a couple of silver on black efini badges because the gold toilet seats were getting pretty cruddy and gold doesn't really go with anything else on the car.
The front efini emblem has two pins and the rear has three - same as the stock badges. The center pin on the rear did not have a retaining clip and there seemed to be a light amount of adhesive on the badge. No adhesive on the front one.
I was able to get to the retaining clips for the stock badges (front and rear) by removing the top bolts for the bumper cover. I did not have to pull the whole bumpers off in either case (thank god).
In the front, there are four 12mm bolts for the bumper cover/support to remove and that's enough to give you room to maneuver.
In the back, there are 4 12mm nuts for the center light panel, remove that ( you can leave it plugged in). Then remove the 4 torx bolts for the bumper cover.
With the bolts removed I was able to get my hand in behind the bumpers to grab the retaining clips. I got the efini badges from rx7.com and they didn't come with clips so I wanted to make sure I didn't lose the old ones.
In the case of the front, there's less room to work so I used a sidecutter (carefully) and cut the badge off from the top - the two pins just pushed through.
For the rear badge, there was enough room to use a forceps and grab the clips and pull them off.
New badges go on pretty easy; just hold the clip from the back side and push the pin into it.
Total time - about an hour.
