How to remove the A/C & P/S bracket?
I have a new bracket to replace the one I broke. I know where the bolt holes are but do you need a trained monkey with tiny tools to actually reach the bolts? Even if I completly get the P/S out of the way (to possibly access the top bolts for the A/C), how in the heckle-n-jeckle do you reach the bottom two?

You can remove the bracket without taking off the AC and PS but when i did it i had the whole motor out of the car. Now i dont have an AC so it is very easy to do. I would think that coming from behind with wrench you should be able to loosen all the nuts and be able to slide it off. Working with the hard AC lines and trying to not hurt those might be another challenge. But if you ended up have to take off the AC to get to the nut with it in the engine bay it isnt to hard to do, just 4 skinny long bolts.

I know how to do it, I just did it a few days ago. I'm at work though so i'm not sure how to explain it without looking at my car. I slapped my 1/4" ratchet on the bottom bolts since the spacing is so tight, but this doesnt give you a lot of leverage to work on the bolt since it's a small ratchet. So to get some more torque, I took my 3/8" ratchet extension and slapped a socket on it big enough to fit around the handle of the 1/4" ratchet. So that made the handle for the original ratchet about a foot long. That gave me enough torque with a small ratchet to get the bottom two AC bolts loose. I was scratching my head too, but that trick helped things out nicely.
You arent going to be able to get the bolts all the way out since they will be hitting the side wall. Just get them out enough so the threads clear the AC/PS bracket. That was my first time doing it and it was a PITA but eventually the 7 lost and i won...lol

A small 1/4" on the bottom a/c bolts and loosen the top ones... this of course after removing the P/S pump and pushing it aside... then start on the inner ones... It took me a min when I was pulling my last motor but its possible

So,what the flippin flying squirel is holding that bracket on the block? I took all the bolts off and one nut. I've only been doing this for eight hours!

Ok, I just checked my bracket. On the face of the bracket where the AC was bolted up, if you dont count the holes where the 4 bolts holding on the AC went into it, there should be six remaining holes on that side of the bracket. One is at the top, and i'm sure you've already seen that one and a few of the others. But, i'm willing to bet that you missed the one thats right in the middle of the bracket. I'm sure it feels like the bracket wont even budge. You cant see the nut, but there is a lip thats comes out in the middle of the bracket and runs across it horizontally. Under that lip you should be able to feel that last nut. I missed it at first only because I couldnt see it.
